How to Update Window Washer?

Window Washer can notify you whenever a new version is available. You can also check for updates anytime. While your subscription is valid, you can download and install the updated version.

Start Window Washer, if it is not already running, and display the main window.
In the icon panel, click Options.
Click the Update tab.
Click Check for Washer Updates. Window Washer opens your Internet browser and takes you to the Webroot Web site.
See if the Web site says that an updated version is available.
Follow the instructions on the Web site to download the file that contains the updated version. Be sure that you know where you download the file to on your computer.

How to Update Webroot Plug-ins?

Window Washer can notify you whenever a new Webroot plug-in or a new version of an existing Webroot plug-in is available. You can also check for plug-in updates anytime.

Webroot plug-ins come with Window Washer and wash (delete) unnecessary files related to commonly used programs. When a new plug-in is available, you can activate it, which means that Window Washer will use it when you run a wash.

Start Window Washer, if it is not already running, and display the main window.
In the icon panel, click Options. The Schedule tab displays.
Click the Update tab. If you want Window Washer to automatically notify you of updates, select the Automatically Check for Washer Updates option at the bottom of the window.
Click Check for Plug-in Updates.
Window Washer accesses the Webroot Web site and displays messages about the status of any updates. If there are updated plug-ins, Window Washer downloads and activates them for you. You should check to see the new Webroot plug-ins and determine if you want to keep them activated.
