Q: Why is the capacity of a virtual drive just 32GB? Can I expand it?
A:32GB is the default value that we set. If you want it larger, a command line as 'WinMount.exe filename.wmt -sectors:0x8000000' should be employed to satisfy your purpose. However, in most cases, 32GB is far enough for daily use.
Q: Is there any way that I can be informed a newer version is released without needing check your website?
A: Yes. Our software will automatically check if there is newer version available on each time you launch it.
Q: What special features does WinMount offer?
A: WinMount is trying to realize compatibly decompressing all types of frequently used archiving formats so that users don't need to install many other applications far less powerful to unpack archives any more.In addition, Winmount is capable of reading and writing a virtual drive onto which an image file is mounted, but all changes took place on the virtual drive will not be written back to the image file, therefore, all original files included in the image can be definitely secured.
Q: What's the difference between trial and registered versions?
A: We wouldn't set any functional limitations in trial version at the moment since the software's still in beta. We want every user to give it a taste in every aspect, therefore, there is no functional difference between the two versions except that a notification window will pop up when you're trying to mount files with a trial version. |
