How to rip CD music with Windows Media Player in Windows 7

Windows Media Player 12, developed by Microsoft, is the release of Windows Media Player, superseding Windows Media Player 11. It has been released as part of the Windows 7 operating system. Different from the old version Windows Media Player 12 has added with many video, audio decorder so that it will play H.264, Xvid and DivX video codecs, AAC audio and 3GP, MP4 and MOV container formats. Moreover, Windows Media Player 12 not only will play CD music, and also it could rip CD music for you.

During the ripping process, the Player makes a copy of each song, stores it on your hard disk as a Windows Media Audio (WMA), MP3, or WAV file, and then adds it to your Player Library.

1. Insert an audio CD into the CD drive. Run Windows Media Player on your Windows 7. Before ripping, you could do some customizaed settings for ripping CD music.

2. Click the Rip CD button in Now Playing mode or Rip CD in the Player Library to begin ripping. The operation is very easy for you to do.

3. After the songs have been ripped, you can find and play them in the Player Library.
