Windows 7 is latest version of Microsoft Windows. It is included more
new features compared with
previous version. So many people upgrade their system to Windows 7. While sometimes after you upgraded you may get such
error messages Update Error 80070422.
Update Error 80070422 can happen for two reasons:
1. "Windows Update Service" is disabled or not set to Automatic as Startup Type.
2. "Windows Modules Installer" Service is not set to manual as Startup type.
Following steps tell you
how to fix Update Error 80070422.
Step 1: Click Start button, type admin in the search box, and click on Administrative Tools. Then double-click Services.
Step 2: Right-click the Windows Update service, and then click Properties. On the General tab, next to Startup type, make sure that Automatic is selected.
Step 3: Next to Service status, check to see if the service is started. If it is not, click Start. If you are prompted for an
administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
Step 4: Similarly, set the "Windows Modules Installer" service startup type as "manual".
After you finish all the above mention steps you have fixed the error of Update Error 80070422. When you using Windows 7 again, it will not pop up the annoying message of Update Error 80070422 on you screen any more.
