How to edit windows 2000 Open With...list?

Here shows you how to edit windows 2000 Open "With... list" through registry. You can do this just by setting different value of the certain registry DWORD.(Windows 2000)

The following are the detailed steps.

1. Click the Start button, and then click Run.
   
2. In the Open box, type "regedit" (without the quotation marks), and then click OK.
   
3. In Registry Editor, locate the following registry key:
   KEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\FileExts
   \.extension\OpenWithList
   (where extension equals the file extension that you want to open)
   
4. This string (REG_SZ_ values) identifies a program that will open files of this type. You can remove values if you don't want those programs to open that file type, or you can add items to add new programs
