Driver Related Tips

Drivers, as other system components, rely on the registry to store configuration information. The system itself uses the registry to store information about devices and drivers, and a driver can store additional information there for its own use.

The operating system, drivers, and device installation components store information about drivers and devices in the registry.

In general, drivers and device installation components should use the registry to store data that must be maintained across restarting of the system. When you install a device driver or update an old device driver, you'd better use official driver. Sometimes erratic drivers may cause registry problems, for example, lose data or make the computer instability, seriously may also affect other normally program.
