Reelect: If you want to reelect the the file(s) that will be converted on the file list, please click the "Reelect" button. and then choose the file(s) that you want to convert over again.

Output directory: You can click the "Browse" button to select the output directory, or you can type the directory onto the box directly.

Output formats and their advanced setings: According to your need, you can click the to choose to convert to DVD, convert to MiniDVD, convert to VCD, convert to SVCD , convert to Non-standard VCD, or to convert to MPEG1, convert to mpeg2on this interface, and then by clicking the "Advanced" button, you can do some settings for the output type that you have selected. Here are some instructions for seting relevant output types.

Convert to DVD/MiniDVD:

Output setting: There are two output modes for you to choose: Constant video quality and Constant video size. And you can select only one of them for the output mode.

From the "Constant video quality" mode, you can select the the output quality among the "Highest quality", "Higher quality", "Middling quality", "Lower quality" and "Lowest quality". As to the same movie, if you select the "Highest quality", it means that the output size will be the largest, while if you select "Lowest quality" the output will be the smallest. This "Constant video quality" mode also support to set the splie size of output size. Of course you also can choose not to split them if you want.

From the "Constant video size" mode, you have to figure out the rang between the maximum and minimum, and according to this, you can calculate how many discs will be needed. Thus, you need at least 1 disc, and there is no limitation of the maximum.

NOTE: according to "Constant video quality" mode, all of the produced VOB files are on one disc, so generally, it will only produce one directory and one IFO file. While according to the "Constant video size" mode, it will produce relevant IFO files and relevant directories for the amount of discs.

Target format and aspect ratio: The default setting of them is "AUTO". However, you can set it your if you need.

Preference: "By Speed" is the option that treats Speed as preference but ignores Picture quality when converting.

"By quality" is the option that treats Picture quality as preference but ignores Speed.

Audio bitrate: There are four preferences for you to choose, and generally, the default setting is "192000".

Enabled DirectAC3: If the source file has AC3 audio, and you pitch on this option, thus, the output file has the original AC3 audio without lossing any quality.

Set chapter length: This option is used to set the length of your output dvd chapter. and the least is 10s for each chapter.

Convert to VCD/SVCD: There are also two convert mode for you to choose when converting to VCD/SVCD: Constant video quality and Constant video size. And you can select only one of them for the output mode. However, the majoy difference from dvd's is that you only can select the disc capacity amony 300MB/650MB/700MB/750MB/800MB when you select " Constant video size" for the output mode.

Besides, you also can set "Target format" and "Preference" when converting to VCD/SVCD.

Convert to Non-standard VCD: The settings on Non-standard VCD is just the same as VCD/SVCD's . However, it has an option Audio bitrate while VCD/SVCD's doesn't.

Convert to MPEG1/MPEG2: There are also two convert mode for you to choose when converting to MPEG1/MPEG2: Constant video quality and Constant video size. And you can select only one of them for the output mode. However, the majoy difference from dvd's is that you only can select the disc capacity amony 300MB/650MB/700MB/750MB/800MB when you select " Constant video size" for the output mode.

On this control panel, you can set "Target format", "Preference" and "Audio bitrate" which can be refered to above for details. Besides, you also can set "Audio sample rate" for MPEG1/MPEG2. And this audio sample rate is a attribute of audio compression.

Picture size: It supports to resize the screen, you can set the height of the output file from 176 to 960; and width from 144 to 576. However, when you set the height and width, please make sure that both of them are the multiple of 16.

Of course, you also can do some additional settings on the "Encode" tab on this "Encoder options" control panel.

When all are ready, please click "ok" to start to convert. Of course, you also can click "Cannel" to cannel all the settings that you did.
