RollBack Rx Professional, by Horizon DataSys Inc. is a cool tool that helps you to restore your system when you have problems. The product is perfect for both home and business users. This is more than just a backup program because it can save you in a variety of circumstances.
In some ways it reminds me of "Time Machine" on the Mac because it can restore your system to a specific date and time. In testing it out I found it to both intuitive and easy-to-use, perfect for users with all levels of experience. The program takes "snapshots" of your system and you can even set it up so snapshots are automatically taken at specified times. Now, say you install some software and your system starts to act crazy. No problem. Just use RollBack Rx to restore your system to a time before you installed that software. Viola. Your system is back to normal.

In this respect it's quite similar to the rollback function found in virtualization products like VMware Workstation. For example, I tested about 20 different software programs and then just "rolled back" my system to the start of the day. As far as the computer was concerned it was like those 20 programs had never been installed. Slick. I like the fact that it can take snapshots in the background while not requiring a lot of resources.
While the program is perfect for home users there's also an Enterprise version that's perfect for businesses. This version allows you to establish the program on a large number of computers and control the operation of RollBack Rx on all of them. The key thing to remember is that you never lose any data.
Whether it's a bad software install, a virus, or a full-blown system crash, RollBack Rx guarantees that you won't lose a byte. So, if you're looking for an alternative to regular backups, this just may be what you're looking for. Check it out.
