The most in-depth Registry repair utility, preforms more than 50 tests Registry Drill is an application that has 20 different utilities to find and fix any Registry problem you may have. Find and repair damaged or stuck Keys, obsolete Keys, invalid Keys. Registry Drill can repair a Registry File that will not load.

Not only does Registry Drill have an Auto Clean that cleans out the Registry the same way other Registry cleaners work, but it has much more. It searches for invalid structures and performs a Deep Scan. The help file will walk you though any repair you want to make.

It has a Quick Drill that searches the Registry with 15 different search patterns, which include searching Registry Keys other software does not search. It looks for any errors and it displays each error with a description of why the Key contains an error and allows you to delete it or fix it.

No other Registry tool or Registry Cleaner can do this. The help file is coordinated to tell you about the error that it is currently displaying; it tells you how to fix it and if the Key may really be valid.

The Deep Drill exports the entire Registry to a file. It then reads each line, character by character looking for any invalid characters. It is also looks for other characters like a period (".") which should (but may not) indicate to the Drill that this line contains a file name, a URL, or an email address. If a colon (":") is found, the Drill looks for a path in the line or a URL.

The Drill looks for a "*", which could be a VXD file or a Key referring to the Bios and Root Keys in the Registry, or a wildcard file extension , and so on and so forth with each character it reads. It then looks for the file, path, Registry Key, and any pointers to other Registry Keys , etc. to see if it exists.

If a line contains the character "." and ":" and "{", it will search for Class, TypeLib, Filter, Interface Keys, and other Keys. It will also search for Catroot, files, paths, URLs, version numbers, and time. It then searches it's database for known entries and then goes through a process of determining whether or not the entry is valid and does this line point to another Key.

When an error is displayed the Drill stops and tells you why it contains a error. Click on Help and the file opens to that type of error to explain to you what may be the problem with the key, giving you an example in most cases.

In the Search and Replace tool, you can quickly search the Registry for any phrase, word, or file name - binary and acsii. You can view the Key, delete it, edit it, save the report, remove selected items from the list or replace the search term in the found entries list with a new word or phrase.

This tools allows you to completely uninstall programs that leave remnants in the Registry. It also has a Find CLSID Pointers tool. You can find all Keys that point to any CLSID Key.

Registry Drill has a tool you may not find anywhere else: "Load Registry File". This little gem will load a registry file from another computer, or different OS, or a backup Registry into Regedit so you can work with it or repair it. It will even make a repair file for you.

Let's say your current Windows Registry is corrupt and you only have a backup that is dated two years ago. Open Registry Drill and have it load your backup file and have the Drill make you a repair file.

Now Import the repair file. You have not lost any information that has been added within the last two years to your current Registry, but you did correct all the information that was OK two years ago in your current Registry.
