The program isn't a scanning engine per se,but it checks your network for the presence of worms, viruses, and"adware" as well. The program has definitions that cover over 9,000different threats.
EMCO Network Malware Cleaner takes a different approach to keeping harmful items off your network. It can scan all the machines on your network and verify that each is protected by anti-virus software.It can also scan for "peer-to-peer" software and remove it if desired. Peer-to-peer software is software that's used to share files between computers. EMCO Network Malware Cleaner detects the programs and can eliminate them.
EMCO Network Malware Cleaner can quarantine harmful items prior to removing them. It also keeps a history, monitors startup programs,and more. You don't use this product instead of an anti-virus program,you use it in conjunction with one. You can scan your network from a remote location and take action.
