MetriScope - A visual monitoring tool that includes a Windows monitoring package MetriScope is a versatile and visual monitoring tool that incorporates a plug-in style architecture that allows it to monitor different systems simultaneously inside the one application.
A visual, plug-in based monitoring tool that allows you to easily monitor different systems within the one console.
MetriScope gives users the ability to view real-time or historic data, configure and view alarms, design visual layouts, generate reports and develop custom data collectors. This install comes with a Windows monitoring plug-in.
The Windows plug-in allows you to monitor CPU usage & activity, logical & physical disk usage & activity, physical & virtual memory usage & activity , network traffic, active processes, and much more. It also allows you to view an abundance of OS & hardware information.
The MetriScope packages are system specific monitoring plugins used by the console. Packages typically show the most common and important data on their main page and the user can easily drill down into subpages for more specific data.
All packages come with recommended pre-defined alarm severity thresholds and also include intuitive balloon help and professional system assistance help.
Requirements:
MetriScope is compatible with Windows 2000, XP and 2003 operating systems. It requires a Pentium III 450mhz (or above) PC with at least 128mb of RAM.
Limitations:
The MetriScope Windows package freeware license gives you the ability to connect to 2 servers simultaneously, one of which is the localhost computer. On this page, you can purchase a license that will allow you to connect to additional servers on top of the 2 that the freeware version gives you.
A MetriScope Windows package license is priced on a per server basis. You are required to state the number of servers you wish to license below. For each one of these servers, you will also have to state the number of processors (CPUs) each one has.
