File Lock is a security software that can lock and/or hide your files, folders and drives. It can deny access to any of your files, folders or drives. File Lock also supports to hide files and folders, to make them to be completely invisible. The locked items will be denied access, move and deletion, the hidden items will not be found by any program or the Windows Explorer.
Use File Lock to lock your files, folders and drives to prevent unwanted access. You can also hide any of your files, folders.
File Lock Main Features:
Locks your files, folders, drives.
By using File Lock, you can easily lock any of your files, folders, drives. The locked files/folders/drives will be protected and none can access, read, delete, or rename them.
Hides your files, folders.
File Lock can hide any of your files and folders. The hidden files/folders will be invisible to Windows Explorer or any program.
Always protects your files/folders even under Safe Mode.
File Lock will be enabled even under Windows Safe Mode, so your protected files/folders will still be protected under Windows Safe Mode.
Supports multiple users.
File Lock supports multiple users, each user can lock or hide her/his own files, folders. Only the administrator users can view and manage all of the locked items.
Supports to run trusted programs.
You can run a trusted program to temporarily allow a program to access the locked/hidden files, folders.
Supports schedule options.
File Lock supports schedule options, you can set the schedule option for each locked/hidden item. For example: if you set the schedule option as "Daily" and set the start time as "8:00", end time as "17:00",then the item will only be locked/hidden in the time period of 8:00 to 17:00.
Invisible Mode.
File Lock can be running in invisible mode: not only it can hide its main window and supports hotkeys, but also it can hide itself from the desktop, start menu and hide its uninstaller in the "Add/Remove Programs" list.
Plug-ins.
File Lock provides plug-ins to help you to encrypt files, disguise folders as special Windows folder, run trusted programs.
The "Encrypt File" plug-in can help you to encrypt and decrypt your private files.
The "Disguise Folder" plug-in can help you to disguise a normal folder as the special Windows folder such as Recycled etc, then the real contents of the folder will not be shown in Windows Explorer.
