File Guard

This application is an easy-to-use, smart and reliable automatic file backup utility.
File Guard is a smart program designed to allow you to ensure automatic file backup. Instantly monitors changes in specified directories and for certain types of files saves (compressed) either entire history of versions or last versions only.

It looks for changes in specified directories (with subdirectories recursively if so speciafied) for given (by mask) files and performs saving all versions (or only last versions) of changed files satisfying given conditions.

A shared folder on another computer in a local network, or a directory on another disk can be used as a storage.

Files are stored compressed, and to store entire history of changes, only changes are stored rather then all the versions.

Later files can be restored, and if several versions are stored, any of those can be restored.

What's New in This Release:

Some small changes in the interface. More easy view of history (click on file in Storage tree to load history, double-click to view the last version, view with notepad if there are no assosiations or viewing via the assosiation failed). Normal windows animation. Opening folder in the Explorer command (via pop-up menu) implemented.

All dialogs made non-modal (modaleness lead to problems).

More stable working. More regular handling messages during long operations (file compression, directory scanning, etc.), so in less cases the program become non-responding for a long time.

"Detailed" option added for a log displayed (to display more messages); date and time is shown with displayed messages too, not only in a log stored on disk.
