Acronis Disk Director Suite, by Acronis is a powerful program for working with and revising hard disks. Theprogram can be used to partition your hard drive and manage thecontents. The program is a suite because it comes with a numberof specialized tools for working on your hard drive. With thePartition Expert you can actually move, resize, split, and evenmerge partitions. And what's really cool is that you will notlose data in the process. Slick!
Acrosnis Disk Director Suite even makes it easy to run more thanone operating system from your hard drive. This is what you'll sometimeshear called a "dual boot system. Imagine being able to boot toWindow or to Linux depending on what you wanted to do. Another module ofthe suite is the Recovery Expert which you can use should youaccidentally delete a partition. Not long ago I had an entire partitionjust suddenly disappear and I used this program to get it back ina snap.
Acronis Disk Director Suite has an intuitive user interface andis very easy-to-use. I really like the feature to merge twopartitions into one partition. Why? Well because it lets you leave allyour data in place, which is such a time-saver. So, for example, say youhad a drive D and a drive E. You could "merge" everything from drive Einto an expanded drive D. Or, you can do the opposite and take one,large drive and split it into two drives. Nicely done!
Acronis Disk Director Suite is a powerful program that's reallyeasy-to-use. That makes it perfect for users with all levels ofexperience. The program does everything you'd ever want or need to dowith a hard disk while keeping your data safe. I like this program somuch that it's not just a Pick, but it's also a Dr.File Finder Favorite and in 25 years of reviewing softwarethere haven't been very many of those. So, if you need to do anythingwith hard disk partitions -- merging, spliting, editing, and more,this is the program you need to have. I recommend it highly!
