GOOD: A powerful utility to recover Microsoft Excel documents
Bad: Nonexistent technical support, no quick door for installation
Benefits:
Have you ever deleted some important lists which contain the information of your customers or partners?
Next time you meet this situation, if the document’s format is .xls, XLS Regenerator will be a good helper to restore them. Whether the file is deleted or overwritten, you can launch this great facility to help you. The product ignores file system, scans disk at physical level. It supports all versions of FAT and NTFS and regenerates files not from a single file, but from the entire disk and without any losses of data, in contrast to other recovery software, which is a great feature.
What makes this app look more friendly is that when the recovering process starts, you can pause at any time you want, it is a convenient function.
Set up:
Following the navigation, you can finish installing this program in seconds, and there is no spyware or adware contained with the program, the installation is easy and straightforward, only 1.50MB space is taken.
This program does not offers a quick door to remove itself, so whenever you want to delete it, you have to do that through the Control Panel, and there will be some useless files left in your hard disk. That is not friendly.
Interface:
The interface is concise, and only the option- Select Source Drive, appears on the middle of the first panel. As soon as you have selected the hard drive, you will face a second panel. According to your requirements, you can easily finish setting them, then it is starting to work.
In short, through the easily understood interface, you could easily recovery your documents whether you are newbie or an advanced user.
System Requirements:
Except Windows Vista, it support all Windows operation system, you need to prepare at least 1.5MB free space for installing this program and sufficient space to store recovery files
Conclusion:
It is easy to control this program, but in my opinion, it would be better if there is a built-in Help File. According to it I could see whether my manipulation is right. XLS Regenerator is a fairly good product, and it is a truly good helper to everybody. In the next version, I wish it could be compatible with Windows Vista.
