How to protect internet security?

1. Open the main console and select Home Network & Firewall Controls.
2. Expand Personal Firewall and click Settings...
3. Mark the Activate the Personal Firewall checkbox, and then click Change Profile.
4. Click Add, or select a Personal Firewall Profile on the list and click Edit.


5. Add (or edit) the Profile name and Description, then select a Security Level.
6. Select the Network tab and define how you computer will connect to the Internet or local network for this profile.
7. Define Program and Network Control rules to control more precisely how much access certain software and operating system components should have to the Internet or local network.

In the event of a conflict between rules, the rule highest on the list takes precedence.




8. If your computer connects to the Internet through a proxy server, configure the proxy server settings.
   
   
   
   
9. Click OK to close the window, and then click OK again to close the Personal Firewall window.
