Opera is a website browser and Internet suite developed by Opera Software company. With this browser, you can surf webpages, send and receive E-mails, chat online, download files by BitTorrent and read web feeds etc. Opera browser is free charged for PC and mobile phone users, but other devices will be charged.

Google Chrome is also a web browser but developed by Google, We all know that Google is a network Search Engine operator. Now it develops its own web browser called Google Chrome. It is based on the WebKit layout engine and application framework. It was first launched on Sep 2nd, 2008 as a beta version on Windows platform. Later, its stable version to public was released on Dec.11st, 2008.

Opera 10 can be utilised on smartphone with mobile Symbian and Windows Mobile operating system. and Java ME-enable devices. Furthermore, Opera is the only web browser that is available for Nintendo Dual Screen (NDS) and Wii game systems. Adode get licensed for using Opera technology in its Adobe Creative Suite. Google Chrome could run on Windows XP (SP2 and above) and Apple Macintosh OS. Other mobile device and video game player is not supported temporarily.

Security - Opera was designed with a commitment to computer accessibility for users who have visual or motor impairments. As a multimodal browser, it also caters to a wide variety of personal preferences in the user interface. Chrome periodically downloads updates of two blacklists (one for phishing and one for malware), and warns users when they attempt to visit a harmful site. This service is also made available for use by others via a free public API called "Google Safe Browsing API". Google notifies the owners of listed sites who may not be aware of the presence of the harmful software.

Speed - Opera 10 was said to "the fastest web browser on earth" , but the actual testing shows that it is not exactly right. Google Chrome is faster than Opera

User Interface - Google Chrome's interface includes back, forward, refresh, bookmark, go, and cancel options. A home button can be turned on through options, which takes the user to the nine website previews seen on a new tab or the configured home page. Opera has a customise skin interface for users, so if you would like to use it, you can change the Opera appearance to Opera presettled.
