This new version Kaspersky includes real-time monitoring, scanning and removing virus, Trojans, worms, spyware, auto-dialers. and anti-rootkit. The same as other Anti-Virus programs, Kaspersky 9.0 has main two componens, Kaspersky Internet Security 9.0 (KIS) and Kaspersky Anti-Virus 9.0 (KAV) which offers you multiple upgrading methods.

Upgrade to Kaspersky Internet Security 9.0

  • If your Kaspersky Internet Security is 7.0 or above version and current activation code (key file) is still available, you could upgrade directly.
  • If you use KIS 6.0, KAV 6.0, 7.0 and KAV 2009, you should pay for license renewal.

Upgrade to Kaspersky Anti-Virus 9.0

  • Upgrading from KAV 7.0, KAV 2009 - the current activation code (key file) can be used to upgrade the product;
  • Upgrading from KAV 6.0, KIS 6.0, KIS 7.0, KIS 2009 - the user needs to pay for license renewal (subject to a discount).
Kaspersky 9.0 upgrading process is similar with its installing process, you just need a valid activating code. But for the up-and-coming new Windows 7 operating system, Kaspersky does not support officially temporarily.
