The iPhone is an internet-connected multimedia smartphone designed and marketed by Apple Inc. with a flush multi-touch screen and a minimal hardware interface.

The BlackBerry is a wireless handheld device. which supports push e-mail, mobile telephone, text messaging, internet faxing, web browsing and other wireless information services as well as a multi-touch interface. It si developed by RIM.

1. The price - The price and storage memory is what user concern most. For iPhone $199 8GB, $299 16GB. RIM BlackBerry Bold 9000 is $619.99, Blackberry Curve 8300 is $245 to $300, and Blackberry Pearl 8100 is $165 to $299. So I think iPhone win in this round.

2. Mobile Network - For mobile Network, they both have Quad Band GSM/EDGE UMTS. but iPhone uses T-Mobile-only US 3G and BlackBerry uses AT&T-only US 3G.

3. Touch screen and input - Multi-touch screen interface plus a "Home" button and "Sleep/Wake" located on the top of the iPhone. BlackBerry series support multi-touch interface and keyboard. In expansion ports, both the phone can use SDcard and USB.

iPhone and BlackBerry are both designed to deliver on-the-go Internet service that can keep up with your busy life. iPhone has iPhone app store as its third party software store while BlackBerry has BlackBerry Store. The iPhone can play digital video, allowing users to watch TV shows and movies in widescreen while BlackBerry is a power media player. iPhone's platform is Modified Java development and BlackBerry uses Java.

BlackBerry supports: MPEG4 H.263, MPEG4 Part 2 Simple Profile, H.264, WMV (Video format support) and MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, WMA ProPlus (Audio format support).
