The Adobe Flash Player is software for creating and viewing animations and movies using computer programs such as a web browser; in common usage, flash lets you put animation and movies on a web site. The Macromedia Flash player is not supported on any BlackBerry smartphones yet. At this point in time there is no Flash support for BlackBerry devices. Currently there are only rumours of RIM possibly supporting Flash content.

Flash is widely supported on PC platforms, being available across Windows, Mac and Linux systems and in most major browsers (even Google Chrome supported Flash from the outset). However, it's a different story on mobile phones.Its mobile-specific version, by early 2009. It's working to add Flash support to the Google-backed Android platform, which it says will happen in 'the very near future'. Flash support is coming through the pipes for BlackBerrys.
