Stuffit could compress files into very smaller size while keep the quality of original files. You can create an archive, that contains multiple files to save space of hard disc. The smaller size files are convenient for users to transfer online.
For your convenience, here we list detail guide on how to compress files with Stuffit on Windows XP platform.
Step 1, Select all of files you want to compress.
if the files you want to compress locate in different discs of computer, You need to remove them to a specified place. The best way is creating a new folder, and moving all of files into this new folder. and then select the the folder. Stuffit allows users to compress more than one files at each time.

Step 2 Settings
After selecting all of files you want to compress, right click these files, the select Archive in the pop up menu. You can select to compress into *.zip, *.sitx or other format. Here we choose the sitx.

Step 3 Select output destination
After finish step 2, Stuffit will ask you to specify the destination for output file, click the button "Same As Original", then the output archive will be saved into the same destination as original files. If you click the button "Ask Each Time", then you can select the special folders or discs to save output file. 
Step 4 Start compress
After finish output setting, the compressing process will automatically start. following is the snapshot of its compress. when it finish, you will get an *. sitx. file.
