Once Trojan.Win32.Patched launches, it will change the way the system start up, to ensure it gets executed at every Windows start. For this purpose, usually this trojan registers itself in one of the registry keys and startup folders, meanwhile this trojan may also interfere with the operation of other software.

Some malware patches system components in order to close security service and add its code to a system component and then patch certain functions of the original file to point to an appended code. iexplore.exe

Solutions:

Do not delete, rename and patched Windows components, because it may affect system stability. You can try to use antivirus software to scan an infected disk partition, if you detected the Trojan.Win32.Patched trojan, first try to check the "Disinfect" action and not to delete it.
