Enhanced scanning & detection
Registry Mechanic 7 has added further enhancements to its registry scanning & error detection engine. These “under-the-hood” enhancements will lead to a cleaner, more stable registry and improve the overall computer performance.
System Optimizer
This version of Registry Mechanic 7.0 boasts an improved system optimizer feature which provides a simple interface to access a range performance enhancing, system monitoring and useful information tools.
Registry Pruning
Registry Mechanic has introduced a new feature enhancement to the registry repair process, “Registry Pruning.” This new feature allows for the removal of subkeys if they are empty after repairing errors found within that subkey. The concept of registry pruning enhances and improves compacting and produces a more streamlined registry.
Optimization & Disk defragmentation:
Within the system optimizer feature, Registry Mechanic 7.0 includes the optimize system feature (from previous versions), along with access to the defragmentation tool.
Registry Mechanic 7.0 provides an easily accessible interface to the Windows Disk Defragmenter tool which optimizes files on your disk for faster access, and improves overall system performance.
System monitors and other useful information:
- Processes – a link to the Windows Task Manager, which displays a user-friendly list of running processes, CPU usage, activity and priority.
- Performance – the performance monitor allows you to easily view the total available CPU and memory resources available.
- Drive space – clearly displays the amount of used and free space on your hard disk - since running out of space can often be the cause of degradation in computer performance.
- System information – displays a complete list of system information such as Computer Name, User Name, Operating System, CPU Speed, RAM (memory), Number of Processors, Printer locations etc.
