Run for the first time wizard:

When you launch Spam Alarm for the first time you will see its main interface window and the Run For The First Time Wizard will pop up, but first you need to select a type of connection that is currently set up in your system.

Click on the "Next" button to go to the "White list (import addresses)" wizard's page.

White List (import addresses)

At this wizard's page you should answer "Yes" if you want to import the email addresses from Microsoft Outlook Express Address Book to the Spam Alarm's White List. We recommend to do this right now. If you use another email program, click "No".

Click on the "Next" button to go to the "Account settings" wizard's page.

Account settings

At this page you can select "Create a brand new email account" option and click Next if you know your POP3 email account settings or choose "Import settings from an existing email account" if you are using Outlook Express as your primary email client. If you chose "Create a brand new email account" and after you click "Next" button you will be prompted to select "Display name" parameters.

If you chose "Import settings from an existing email account" and after you click "Next" button you will be prompted to select "Import settings" parameters.

Your name

Option "Create a brand new email account": Enter a name by which you would like to refer to this account.

Click on the "Next" button to go to the "Email server name" wizard's page.

Option "Create a brand new email account": Enter a name of incoming mail server and its port number. Port 110 is a default setting.

Click on the "Next" button to go to the "Internet mail logon" wizard's page.

Option "Create a brand new email account": Enter your account name and password.

Click on the "Next" button to go to the final wizard's page.

Congratulations

On the last panel you can test the settings of your email account. Press "Test connection" button. If the connection test is failed then you will see "Send report" and "Error codes" buttons. You can send the "failure" report to our support team for a better help with "Send report" button. Also you can refer to error codes description by pressing "Error codes" button. If everything is allright, then press "Finish" button to finalize the new email account wizard.

Now you have completed the setup of your email account and Spam Alarm is ready to work!
