Microsoft Speech Application Software Development Kit is a SDK for adding speech interfaces to ASP.NET Web applications
The SASDK enables developers to create, debug, and deploy speech-enabled ASP.NET Web applications intended for deployment to a computer running Microsoft Speech Server. These applications are designed for devices ranging from telephones to Windows Mobile-based devices and desktop PCs.

Application authoring tools are seamlessly integrated into Microsoft Visual Studio® .NET 2003, allowing developers to take advantage of a familiar and powerful development environment. These utilities will enable developers to author programs that recognize spoken commands and, depending on the mode, communicate a visual or a spoken response to the user.

In addition to powerful authoring tools, the SASDK contains a wealth of resources, including a rich voice mode grammar library, debugging tools, reference documentation, log analysis tools, ASP.NET Speech Controls, sample and reference applications, a speech application deployment service, and a Speech Add-in for Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Requirements of Speech Application SDK:

Service Pack 1 or later for Windows Server 2003 (Standard or Enterprise), and Service Pack 2 or later for Windows XP Professional

600 megahertz (MHz) or faster

256 megabytes (MB) of RAM (512 MB of RAM or higher recommended)

Super VGA (800 x 600) or higher-resolution adapter and monitor

Microsoft mouse or compatible pointing device

500 MB free disk space on the local computer

Internet Information Services (Install from your operating system CD by clicking Add or Remove Programs in Control Panel)

Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1 with Service Pack 1
