File Access extended stored procedures for SQL Server gives you the ability to use T-SQL to Create, Read, Write, Delete, and Search files and directories.

File Access stored procedures extend T-SQL capabilities.

They allow to:
  • Work with directories and files;
  • Read and write files as arbitrary binary data blocks or line-by-line as a text, and compare file contents;
  • Export and import BLOB data from disk files to table fields of datatype TEXT/NTEXT/IMAGE;
  • Work with INI files;
  • Format string templates like C++ sprintf() or Delphi's Format() functions do.


    These procedures are provided by a dynamic-link library, xpFileUtils.DLL.
