Browser such as IE saves web pages, images from visited Web sites into your hard drive whether you click on them or not, so that next time when you visit you won't have to re-download the image. The Windows temporary directory stores temporary files that are used during installation of programs and at other various times. Erasing this directory regularly is generally a good idea. Windows SWAP File
Swap file is used by windows to increase your available memory. Swap files managed your computers Virtual Memory. If this files is not present then Windows will recreate the file when user login on system. Normally its of double the size of RAM and present in windows folder in Windows 98 and root directory of system drive in Windows NT\2000\XP but user can change drive according the size required. Name of this file is Win386.swp in Windows 98 and pagefile.sys in Windows NT\2000\XP. Windows always have lock on this file. So this option required restart of Windows, this files is deleted just before Windows login dialog box comes.
