Play HD DVD with Cyberlink PowerDVD Ultra
1. Insert your disc. Click Play . Be sure that the source is correct.
If not, click Select source  and choose the right drive.
2. A warning message or copyright information will appear
depending on the disc title. Usually, this content cannot be
skipped over.
3. After the promotional content, you will be presented with the
main menu. With your mouse, select by clicking once.
4. The disc will begin playing.
5. To use the Menu/Number pad, click the  button in Player mode
and the Menu/Number pad will appear on the right.
6. To Stop  or Paus e , click them accordingly.

 If you click Stop or Exit during playback, and even play other files or
discs immediately afterwards, the next time you click Play for that
specific disc title, users may resume from the last scene depending on
their Auto-Resume setting found in the Player Setting configuration.
This Auto-Resume feature remembers exactly where you left off and
allows users great leeway when playing multiple discs at a time or if
prematurely exiting CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra. |
HD DVD Configuration
This configuration gives you control over the behavior of HD DVD
playback.
1. Click on Configuration , then select the HD DVD tab.
2. Set your HD DVD options:
- Choose HD DVD or DVD under TwinFormat Preference to
determine which content you want to playback if your HD DVD
disc is a TwinFormat disc.
- Choose one of the following display preferences under Display
Mode Preference:
- HD - High Definition monitor or television.
- Wide - 16:9 monitor or television.
- LetterBox - Traditional 4:3 monitor or television displayed
in LetterBox format.
- Panscan - Traditional 4:3 monitor or television displayed in
Panscan format.
Note: Choosing one of the above display preferences will enable CyberLin
PowerDVD Ultra to automatically play the preferred display mode only if it is
supported by the HD DVD title.
- Check Down convert to SD under Display Mode Preference to
convert High Definition down to Standard Definition.
Note: It is recommended that you convert High Definition down to Standard
Definition when using a non-HD display device in order to avoid damaging
it.
User Interface
- Use HD DVD Hotkeys: check to activate HD DVD hotkeys for use
with HD DVD titles.
Note: Activating the HD DVD Hotkeys will alter some of the current
CyberLink PowerDVD Ultra hotkeys.
- Enable Mouse in HD DVD: check this option to enable a mouse
for use with HD DVD pop-up menus. See "Enable Mouse in HD
DVD" on page 48 for more detailed information on this feature.
3. Click OK when you are finished.
