How does PictureImp works?

PictureImp saves an image to the preset folder using the original name of the file or re-naming the file automatically based on the naming template you specify. This process is done automatically behind the scene. You do only drag-and-drop and the rest is done by the program in the background. Another big feature in PictureImp is an opportunity to set up more than one basket. Each basket will have its own folder for saving images, its own naming template and its own custom look. This option is useful when, for example, you want to save photos into one folder and web design elements, such as logos, bullets into another folder.

Can PictureImp grab pictures from www.photosight.ru?

Currently, PictureImp cannot save images from www.photosight.ru and from some other photo websites that use special protection technologies against extraction of its images and content by download managers, such as Teleport. The current version of PictureImp cannot download images either but this functionality is on the way and will appear in the new release.

Why can't I save some images (that are hyperlinks) when I drop them to the basket?

If the image is a hyperlink to another HTML page, then you actually drag and drop the hyperlink, not the image, and the program cannot save the hyperlink because there we have an HTML page.

When I drag and drop in IE 7.0 for MS Windows Vista, I see a strange popup dialog. What's that?

The latest MS Windows Vista has many restrictions for more security. In our case, we have a standard dialog where you need to allow our program to drag and drop the content from MS IE. To do this, you need to check the "Always allow web content:" checkbox and click the Allow button. This dialog will never appear again.

Hey! Is there any version for Mac OS?

No, currently there is no Mac version but it’ll be available in the future.
