From a Mac user: "I have about 20 VHS tapes with all sorts of important memories on them ( wedding etc ). I would love to be able to transfer them to my hardrive, and be able to watch on my macbookpro and burn to DVD. So, what hardware and software will i need. Is this a difficult task, and where can i find a simple set of instructions? Cheers?"
Here we recommend Roxio's VHS to DVD converter software, Roxio Easy VHS to DVD for Mac. Its package includes two pieces of software: the first is Easy VHS to DVD Capture software, whose prime job is to capture the digitized video and audio stream from VHS/Hi8/V8 and convert it into a Mac-friendly file format. In summary, I think that Roxio Easy VHS to DVD is a neat little program, easy to install, easy to run, and sits at a really fair price level that anyone can afford. Given the potential expense of paying a service facility to do the VHS to DVD transfer for you, Roxio’s program does the perfect job, and will actually save you money in the long run. ”
