Step 1: Connecting VHS player to Mac.
a. Connect the Roxio Video Capture USB device to a USB 2.0 port on your Mac.
b. Connect the Roxio adapter to the video capture device.
c. Using the video cable provided with your VHS VCR, connect the video Line Out connector on VCR to one of the two video plugs on the Roxio adapter.
d. Connect the two Audio Out connectors on your VHS player to the audio adapter (red and white plugs) attached to your Roxio USB capture device.
Ensure the Roxio Video Capture USB device is connected to a USB 2.0 port on your Mac, and that your VCR is connected to the Roxio adapter.
Note: The Roxio Video Capture USB device should be connected
directly to your Mac, not through USB ports on a Cinema

Step 2: Copying VHS tapes to Mac.
In the Applications folder on your hard disk, open the Easy VHS to DVD for Mac folder and double-click the Easy VHS to DVD Capture icon. Select a name for your captured VHS video and select an approximate length for the movie.
a. The Connect Video page allows you to select between using the S-Video or Composite (RCA) connection. You can also preview your movie to ensure that your VHS video displays correctly.
b. The Connect Audio page allows you to verify that audio can be captured correctly.
c. The Record page allows you to click the Start Recording button. Now that VHS video have been copied from tapes and saved to your iMovies
folder, you can select one of the following options:

Open the Easy VHS to DVD for Mac folder and double-click the Toast Basic
icon to launch the included Toast software. At the top-left of the Toast window, click "Video", then choose the DVD-Video project to do optional disc settings, such as Automatic or Custom Encoding.
