Zoner GIF Animator, by ZONER softwareis a nicely done graphics application. The program has a nice user interface and I found it to be easy-to-use. Being graphically challenged I started out by importing some animated files. The program supports importing AVI, FLI, and FLIC file types. If you like you can also import bitmaps like BMP, ICO, TIF, GIF, JPG, and more. One cool feature is the ability to edit bitmaps right within the program.That makes it nice because you don't have to load something else, make modifications, and then reload Zoner GIF Animator. Cool.

Zoner GIF Animator give you a seemingly unlimited number ofundo functions, which is great for someone like me. I could make mistakes and quickly undo them. It also gave me the ability to experiment with different effects. I had a good time with the texture generator and really came up with some interesting texture effects. In working with new animations I found it was easy to lay out the borders,lock them, and even set the background. The program can handle plug-ins from Adobe which make it even more flexible. Nice!

In working with Zoner GIF Animator I found that ignorance truly is bliss. I had a great time just trying things out. I'm certain that nothing I created would win any graphics awards, but I was impressed that the program made it easy enough for me to create something. I really like the area of the program that showed me a little "film" of my animations. That was really handy for going back and making changes. If you're into graphics, check it out. I recommend it.
