Before Picview existed, people had to choose one of two options when they were faced with a directory full of pictures to view. Either they viewed the pictures one after the other or they selected what pictures to view one by one.

Picview's mission is to add the option of displaying pictures randomly, so helping the user who just wants to sample a couple of pictures from a hefty list. The latest version includes the feature of colour modification and saving.
