Strength
Fireworks is the definitive solution for professional web graphics design and production. It is the first production environment to address and solve the special challenges facing web graphics designers and developers.

Weakness
Nothing is perfect in this world, so does this tool. We suggest the beginners should master the basic knowledge and skill in graph designing before they use this tool.
Benefits
You can use Fireworks to create, edit, and animate web graphics, add advanced interactivity, and optimize images in a professional environment. In Fireworks, you can create and edit bitmap and vector graphics in a single application. Everything is editable, all the time. And you can automate the workflow to meet the demands of time-consuming updates and changes.

Fireworks integrates with other Macromedia products such as Dreamweaver, Flash, FreeHand, and Director, as well as your other favorite graphics applications and HTML editors, to provide a truly integrated web solution. You can easily export Fireworks graphics with HTML and JavaScript code customized for the HTML editor you're using.

Set UP
To install Fireworks you should insert the fireworks CD into your PC's CO-POM drive. The fireworks installation program starts automatically in windows. But you have to double click the fireworks installer icon that appears on the desktop if in Macintosh.

System Requirement
800 MHz Intel Pentium III processor (or equivalent) and later
Windows 2000, Windows XP
256 MB RAM (1 GB recommended to run more than one Studio 8 product simultaneously)
1024 x 768, 16-bit display (32-bit recommended)
880 MB available disk space

Interface
Fireworks user friendly product interface enables even the most novice PC user to repair their system's registry. You can do registry editing, backup and restore with a few simple mouse clips.

Conclusion
Fireworks is a graphics program designed primarily for Web designers, though artists who work in print and video will likely find many of the tools useful. It offers a suite of raster and vector image editing and creation tools; a built-in JPEG compression engine that's unrivaled; and several features for creating interactive content and integrating that content with applications like Dreamweaver and Flash.
