The question was "What is a good program I can use for working with graphics?" My reply is: IrfanView. IrfanView, by Irfan Skiljan has been one of my personal favorites for a number of years now. It's on every computer I use because it solves basic problems with graphics. I use it for resizing screen shots and pictures, I use it to send files to email and other folders, and lots more. It's absolutely loaded with features and functions. It's amazing to me that it's still free. So, for many issues with graphics IrfanView is going to be your solution.

IrfanView has an intuitive and easy-to-use interface. It also has lots of configurable options so you can make it work exactly the way you want. IrfanView can handle an impressive number of graphics file formats, including BMP, JPG, AVI, PNG, GIF, and many more. You can put on a slideshow of your images and you can quickly make changes to graphics. I took a picture and with a few mouse clicks I reduced its size by half, made it a 3D button, made it a sepia color, and added some water drops for effect. It's so easy-to- use that even someone graphically challenged like me can use it.

IrfanView lets you do all kinds of special effects including things like emboss, blur, explosion, and many more. You can do "batch" conversions of graphics files, extract icons from DLL files, and it also supports drag and drop. There are so many features and options that you really have to try this program to appreciate it.

If you need to do anything with graphics this is the program you need to look at. It's won the Shareware Industry Awards and People's Choice Awards multiple times so it's the "pick" of users and software developers. For working with graphics, IrfanView is your solution.
