Pros: Supports nearly all kinds of video formats, free to try - 100% conversion and no watermark (15 days).

Cons: It does not split into parts for VCD creation. And there shows nag screen in the free trail version. The quality of this program is not high enough to meet people’s need, and the interface is a little bald.

iMpeg Converter is a powerful application that it support various video formats as long as the Window Media Player can play. But what I feel a little pity is that it does not split into parts for VCD creation. See a screenshot of the program: 


I have created a video with this program. First, when I click the “Start” button, there is no bar to show the rate of the progress. Then, when it finished creation, I opened the file to see if it was as good as other program did. However, the quality is a little low – whether the graphics or the music is not clear at all.

The setup file of this program is 2.53MB, and there is no adware as well as spyware combined with it. The system requirements are: Intel Pentium Processor or compatible, 128 MB RAM, 20 MB available hard disk space for installation, True Color or Hi-Color display adapter and monitor, 800x600 or higher resolution and the last CD burner (Optional). If you have those configurations, double click the setup file, the installation is easy and straightforward, and it will finish in seconds.

This program is easy to use, but the quality is not high. If it wants to attractive more users, the next version should solve this problem.
