GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program) is a free raster graphic editor application to handle digital graphics and photographs. If you don't want to buy commercial programs with hundreds of dollars (Adobe PhotoShop, Corel, Serif), DIMP is the alternative without any cost.

GIMP is a versatile graphics manipulation package. The latest version is GIMP 2.6.4 released on 1 January 2009. It includes almost all the basic functions that as a raster graphic editor: selection editing, layers, histogram, scripting, retouching, resizing, noise removal, lens correction, sized printing, sharpening, color correction and more.
