DVDComposer

DvdComposer is an advanced DVD authoring application DVD authoring applications for the PC's today are either too simplistic, or they require you to have an intimate knowledge of DVD structures. DvdComposer attempts to bridge the two, by giving you an easy intelligent interface stuffed with powerful features

DvdComposer is an advanced DVD authoring application. It allows you to create DVD's with flexible navigation, create stunning motion menus, and add multiple audio & subtitle tracks to your DVD. The list of features goes on.

If you're a novice just starting out to create DVD's, you will find comfort that DvdComposer allows you to do all the cool stuff with great ease. Unlike other DVD applications, you focus mainly on your creative ideas, and do not spend time learning about internal DVD structures.

If you're an experienced DVD authoring guru, DvdComposer will save you time with its intuitive interface. Its abstraction of low-level DVD structures will allow you to focus on the task, rather than the low-level nitty-gritty DVD requirements.

Here are some key features of "DVDComposer":

  • Easily Import from existing VCD & DVD
Do you have many VCDs or DVDs lying around, each with a short video? Or do you need to combine video from different discs for friends and relatives?
DvdComposer can accept both VCD/DVD compliant video. In most cases, all you need to do is to simply drag in your DVD VOB files into the timeline. For VCD, you can use the built-in tool to convert your VCD DAT file to MPEG, and then drag in your MPEG file. It's that simple.
What is more, you can combine both VCD & DVD tracks onto a single DVD. DvdComposer automatically creates multiple video title sets for you, without you needing to do anything.
  • Menu in motion
With DvdComposer, it is easy to create captivating motion menus. You can drag in your video files into menu buttons or drop zones, and the button will automatically animate when the menu is played. You can drag your video into the menu background as well.
If you're lazy, you can just use the pre-built motion menu templates, and your DVD will be Hollywood-like in no time. The built-in encoder will compose and encode the menu for you.
  • Video Chapter
As in professionally created DVD's, you can add frame-accurate (I-frames) chapter points to your video track. You can use chapter points to allow playback from the middle from your menu button, or to allow your audience to skip over sections of the track.
  • Multi-Audio & Subtitle
DvdComposer allows you to add multiple audio tracks (up to 8) to your video. This allows you to have video that have different languages, or have video that will play in different song moods.
You can also add up to 8 subtitle tracks. This will give you the ability to add text captions that can be turned on or off, during playback.
  • Intelligent Interface: One action to rule them all
Take the following common scenario: You want to create a menu button on your DVD that links to a video track you wish to import. At the end of the track, you want to return back to the menu and highlight the button that triggers it.
How many mouse clicks do you need to do this? In DvdComposer, you simply drag in your video file to the desired menu button, and then select "Create Track. Link to Button." That's one drag & drop to accomplish everything! Many other actions can be achieved in a similar way.
  • Integration with MemoriesOnTV
If you use our MemoriesOnTV (version 2.2 and above) slideshow software, you can now easily export your slideshow project to DvdComposer.
You can either use MemoriesOnTV to add beautiful Ken-Burns style slideshow to your DVD, or to add additional DVD features (subtitles/chapters/motion menu) into an existing MemoriesOnTV slideshow DVD.
  • Photoshop friendly
If you are a professional designer, you will like DvdComposer's friendliness to PSD files. Many designers save their DVD menus in a 2-layer PSD file (menu overlay & background). You can easily use such files in DvdComposer by dragging them into the menu background.
DvdComposer also uses multi-layer PSD files for designing button and drop zone shapes. This allows maximum flexilibity in composing buttons or drop zones with maskable alpha.
  • Amazingly affordable
Yes, we think this is a feature too! :) Our goal with DvdComposer is to make advanced DVD features accessible to most folks, both in usability & price. If you survey the market for advanced DVD authoring tools, you will find that most cost about US$500. We aim to provide 80% of what those tools are commonly used for, at 20% the price.
