There are some useful functions DVD X Player offers, such as splitting record video file to different size to fit on portable video player device and recording DVD into MPEG2 Video, etc.
Many people enjoy seeing movies during the journey, with the above functions we could record the videos to our laptops with out take the disks with us, since the disk is frail, it could easily be shattered. Sometimes there is not enough space for the whole movie or we only want to record the brilliant part of the movie to our PDA, we could split record video files to meet our needs. Unfortunately, this version only let us record at most 15 Min of the movie, while DVD X Player - Professional Version’s upper limit is 45Min. However, for most of the ordinary users, they only want a DVD player, this version is definitely enough for them.

The setup file is less than 5MB; it’s a small size among the utilities with the same functions. The installation is as same as you install other programs, and there is no malware or Google Toolbar with this software, it’s 100% clean.
When you never need it, you could easily uninstall it through the quick door it offers or remove it form Control Panel, and there will leave no garbage in your PC.

It’s a cold color style, the menu and the buttons are half-transparent, you will find the interface is well designed to cater for Windows Vista – today’s most popular OS. The main menu appears like an MP3, buttons layout orderly. When you put your mouse over them, a tag shows to prompt you the functions it offers. You could easily operate this facility to meet your needs.

I install this program on my PC with a AMD 2500+ CPU, 512MB RAM, and 80GB hard disk capacity – it’s a moderate level of today PC’s configuration. It works smoothly when Norton is scanning the viruses. DVD X Player is compatible with nearly all Windows OS, except Windows 95, so, it works well even if your OS is Windows Vista.
Conclusion:
DVD X Player - Standard Version is an excellent choice when you just need a DVD player, it offers all the basal functions - definitely make you feel satisfied. If you want more features or get rid of some upper limit, DVD X Player - Professional Version is a better choice.
