Blender is a 3D graphics application. Blender has a robust feature set similar in scope and depth to other high-end 3D software such as Softimage|XSI, Cinema 4D, 3ds Max, Lightwave and Maya.

Pros

Blender has a relatively small installation size. It supports for a variety of geometric primitives, including polygon meshes, fast subdivision surface modeling. It has a fully integrated node based compositor within the rendering pipeline.

Benefits

Blender is too samll to take you much space, so it helps you to save space. It support sveral popular computing platforms, no matter you are a MAC OS X user, Microsoft Windows user or a Linux user, you are all can use this software.

Blender has versatile internal rendering capabilites and integration with YafRay, a Free Sofwwre ray tracer. It takes you more convenience to use it. It contains many of keyframed animation tools including inverse kinematics, armature (skeletal), hook, curve and lattice-based deformations, shape keys (morphing), non-linear animation, constraints and so on. Such many tools make you use this program esily. What's more, its modifiers do not have destructive effects. In addition, based on compositor within the rendering pipeline there is a fully integrated node in it.

Interface

In Blender, nearly every function has a direct keyboard shortcut and, with the number of functions Blender offers, several different shortcuts per key. It has the introduction of color themes, transparent floating widgets, a new and improved object tree overview.

Conclusion

Blender has a depth and breadth of features comparable to commercial, proprietary, high end and mid range 3D software. And The Blender installer is small compared to other fully-functional 3D graphic software. It is an useful tool for 3D lovers. It offers many tools and function for users. And it new format, makes use know this software easier.
