You do not need to generate a single executable screensaver - you are now can select it from playlists. Playlist of Alt MP3 Screensaver Player includes the all information about musical screensaver, all 3 components: list of pictures, list of music files or music playlists, and all rules for playing. Thus saving playlists means that you can restore screensaver absolutely in that kind in which it have created.

you can specify a list of pictures (.jpg (.jpeg), .bmp or .tga files) for slideshow and save this list in a playlist file (.set);
you can specify a list of music files (.mp3, .mid (.midi) or .wav) and WinAmp playlists (.m3u) for playing during a slideshow;
