ACA Capture Pro

ACA Capture Pro, by ACASystems is a screen capture program that was one of my Quick Picks a few weeks ago. The program used to be called SuperCapture Professional and it's a real powerhouse. You can use it to capture just about anything that's on your screen. The program can capture images from 3D games, Web pages, menus, and lots more. It can capture the screen and send it to your printer, save it to a file, keep it in the Windows clipboard, or even put it in an Office document. Personally nearly all of my screen captures get saved to files. ACA Capture Pro supports a range of graphics file formats, including JPG, BMP, GIF, TIF, and even AVI! Pretty slick.

ACA Capture Pro gives you a lot more power than the Windows "Print Screen" key. Besides capturing images on the screen it can also capture video of the screen. This is great for creating little tutorials to show someone how to do something on the computer. You can have the program capture the cursor or ignore it. The program has a number of configurable options and I always like that. You can capture entire windows, rectangles, circles, and more. One feature not found in similar programs is the ability to send screen captures directly to Microsoft Office applications like Word and Excel. It can even capture Macromedia "Flash" off of the Web.

ACA Capture Pro is a powerful screen capture program that can capture entire screens or portions thereof in 14 different ways! Pretty impressive. The program has an intuitive user interface and I found it very easy-to-use. I think it's perfect for both new and experienced users. So, if you'd like a way to capture screens and much more, you just might want to take a good look at ACA Capture Pro. Nicely done!
