Everyone has secrets, me too. No matter how important it is, we won’t hope other people know it. Then how do we protect our secret? Store in your heart? May be you gonna say it when you are dreaming. And also, do you think that you might not forget it as time goes by? Ok, there is not any other place that is better than PC to save your secrets. Any confidential information can be safely stored in your laptops. En? PC is not safe because of virus, spyware, worm and hackers etc. maybe you need another tool - Secure Disk.

Actually, before I try Secure Disk, I have test many kinds of encryption programs. They are fairly good enough to help user to protect their data from hacker and spyware. I don’t expect any extraordinary functions from Secure Disk. However, it gives me a surprise.

Just like other encryption programs, Secure Disk allows user to encrypt your data through password. That is the simplest way, but it works. The difference is that Secure Disk encrypts the whole partition of hard disc instead of specific files. Which means you can encrypt the disk C, Disc D or the entire hard disc, even boot disc can be encrypted as well. (If boot disc is encrypted, you need put into password when system boots. Compared with encrypting files, Secure Disk can encrypt whole partition. That is securer.

The second factor that impresses me a lot is that Secure Disk allows user to encrypt different disc with different keys in one platform (secure Disk names this platform as keystore), you can specify the key name to clearly mark what you have encrypted. That means you don’t have to remember multiple and complex passwords of different encrypted disk, all you have to remember is just the password of your keystore.

Last but not least, Secure Disk offers a very good way to save your keystore file, where saves all of your encryption data. The key file can be saved into images (.bmp, .jpg) and audio (.mp3, .wav) formats to escape from hacker’s notice. Generally speaking, images and audio files will be ignored by hackers. That’s a really good idea.

However, consider from anther angle, secure disk is absolutely not as perfect as it has been described. For example, when creating key, Secure Disk allows user to draw any images, which will be used to generate key data, however, I have to skip this step by using its build-in images, since I found that it is impossible to let the program recognize my drawing. That is probably a small bug. Hope the publisher can fix it in the next version.

Another thing that confuses me is that Secure Disk ask user to specify two different passwords as the login code. While other programs usually only ask one password. Does two passwords stronger than one? I don’t think so. Since everyone has his own custom to specify password, if a hacker can decrypt one of his password, then it is very easy to decrypt another.

Secure Disk considers beginners a lot, which can be easily found from its feature design and wizards. For example, when user runs program for the first time, Secure Disk will guide you to specify the first keystore to encrypt disc step by step. There are detailed descriptions in every step. And the program interface is also every concise and clear. I think most of user can control it. If you still have problem, the build-in help file of program will gives you more information.

The installer of Secure Disk is 100% clean, No spyware, No adware, No bounded toolbar. So feel free to install to your pc. After installation, Secure Disk offers user a quick door for uninstallation. Any time you want to remove it from your laptop, just run it.

At last, Secure Disk requires less system source. Only a little bit higher than 1,000 kb memory. And the encryption speed is really high, in our testing; a 4000 MB partition disc only takes 20 minutes to be encrypted. While encrypting, you can do anything else with PC, secure disk will automatically running in background.

In one sentence, Secure Disk brings a revolutionary encrypting way to protect users’ data. Although there is a small bug, it is worth trying.
