RxList Offline is based upon the highly popular website of the same name, www.RxList.com, The Internet Drug Index. RxList Offline uses the same 'fuzzy' search as the website which enables the user to find drug names which they do not know how to spell. The search, in fact, has been improved allowing more liberal use of wildcards and finding names by entering just a few characters. The database is the same propreitary one used on the website listing more than 4500 brand and generic prescription and OTC products. Each listing contains the brand name, generic name, and drug category. Also included in RxList offline are more than 1200 professional monographs consisting of over 100 megabytes of current drug information including Description, Clinical Pharmacology, Indications, Warnings, Side Effects, Drug Interactions, Contraindications, Overdosage, and Information for Patients. This is the same information used by Doctors, Pharmacists, and Nurses.
