Real-Time Spyware Shield
BitDefender monitors dozens of potential hotspots in your system where spyware might act, and also checks any changes made to your system and software. Known spyware threats are blocked in real-time, and so are malicious dialers.

Malware Protection
Some viruses also function as spyware, or may constitute an entry point for spyware at a later time. BitDefender scans for such viruses and removes them during the regular scanning process.

Spyware scanning and cleaning
BitDefender will scan your system, or part of it, on demand, for known spyware threats. The scan uses a constantly updated spyware signature database. A quick scan will check critical system data and the programs which are currently running. A deep scan will do the same, but will also examine all the contents of a drive or folder you choose.

System information
The handy System Information tab lists registry settings related to: system startup and shutdown, running processes, system files, the Explorer and running services. These critical system settings can be changed directly from the BitDefender interface if needed.

Anti-Dialer
A configurable anti-dialer prevents malicious applications from running up a huge telephone bill at your expense, by letting you define which applications can access the phone modem and what numbers may be dialled.

Cookie Control
The firewall filters incoming and outgoing cookie type files, keeping your identity and preferences confidential when you're browsing the Internet.

Active Content Control
Proactively blocks any potentially malicious application such as: ActiveX, Java Applets or Java Scripts type codes.

Scheduler
The Scheduler lets you plan ahead, and schedule full system/drive scans in the off hours, when you won't be using your computer for work. The Scheduler wizard will step you through the process of creating new scan tasks.

Quarantine Facility
The Quarantine holds suspect files for analysis. While in Quarantine, files cannot be executed or read. Suspect files can be submitted automatically for analysis to BitDefender Labs or simply stored locally for inspection.

Reports
BitDefender Antispyware creates reports of system activity and scanning process outcomes.
