A Multiple Choice (Single answer) question is a question followed by a minimum of 2 and maximum of 8 possible answers. There is only one correct answer to this type of question.
To add a Multiple Choice Question (Single Answer) to your Quiz:

Click the "Add Question" tab on the menu bar and select,

- Enter your question.
- Import Image.
The image panel is initially hidden, click to unwind it.
You can import a static or animated image or even a flash movie to better describe the question. The thumbnail of the image or flash movie will be displayed accompany with the question on the final quiz, and be able to enlarge. Supported image types include .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .emf, .wmf, .gif, .png, .swf. To add an image for the current question, just click the icon, and you may click the icon to remove the added image. If you want to take a screenshot and added it to the question, click the snapshot.jpg" width="26" height="24" align="absmiddle" /> icon to take a snapshot of your screen. After you click it, QuizCreator will be hidden automatically, and your mouse curser becomes a cross, click and hold your left mouse button to drag a rectangle area, then release it, you may preview the screenshot in the preview pane.
Image Information: Enter a title for your image and you can also enter a URL and when a quiz taker clicks the title on your player, the URL will be opened if your computer is connected to the Internet. If you don't enter a title and only enter a URL, the URL will be shown as the title.
- Audio Settings
Click to select an audio file (supports WAV, MP3) from your local disk and insert it into the current question. After you import an audio, the path will shows on Path field. Click to remove the current file. Besides, you can record sound to insert it to the question. Click to record sound from microphone. Setup audio device on your computer: double click "Sounds and Audio Devices" on Control Panel, click under "Device volume". You see the volume control dialog, click Options -> Properties, select recording, check "Stereo Mix" and "Microphone", then click OK. You see the Recording Control dialog. If you select "Stereo Mix", all sounds on your computer (include the sounds from the microphone) will be recorded; if you select "Microphone", only sounds from your microphone will be recorded.
Note: The sound you insert will play at the moment that test taker reach the current question, and it will play three times.
- Enter the possible Choices for your question. You need to specify at least two possible answers in the box, the default number of the choices is 5,
you can left the rest choices blank if you don't have that many to provide, and you can press "Add answer" button if you have more than 5 choices. The number of the possible answer items has a limit to a maximum of 8.
Note: The choices cannot be duplicated.
- Click the box in the correct column before the correct Choice for this question.
- Set the Feedback Type for this question. You can choose None or Question Level.
a. None: No feedback will be provided to the quiz taker after answering the question.
b. Question Level: Feedback will be provided to the quiz taker after answering the question. This method allows you to provide different feedback depending on whether the answer provided by the user was correct or incorrect.
c. Check Set Feedback then click the icon to change the feedback of the CURRENT question. The default feedback should be the one you entered in Default settings of Quiz Properties. You may insert hyperlink(s) to feedback by clicking the icon on the bottom left of the Question level feedback dialog.
Note: Question Level Feedback will be available only when you have selected the option to "Submit one question at a time" at Quiz Properties: Quiz Settings
- Difficulty Level: Select the corresponding difficulty level of the question from the drop down list. There're five pre-set levels available: Junior, Easy, Moderate, Difficult, Very Difficult. By providing the difficulty level, the quiz taker will easily get an estimation of the entire quiz, what's more, difficulty level is often considered to determine the result of the quiz taker, when there are no fixed answers.
You may have set the defaults for the following items in Quiz Properties: Quiz Default, however, you're allowed to modify it here, and the change will only take effect on the current question.
- Enter a Point value of this question.
- Set the Number of Attempts Permitted. Click the arrow aside to specify the permitted attempts for quiz taker, the value ranges from 1 to 100.
- Insert hyperlink(s) to question
Click the icon to insert a hyperlink to the current question. Title is the word or phrases you want to add hyperlink to.
- Click "Fonts" to set the Font properties including font family, size, color and style, for the Questions and Answers.
- Question Note. Click
png" width="29" height="27" align="absmiddle" /> to add instruction for the question, check or uncheck the box "Show Info" to decide whether question notes should be displayed or not when taking the quiz. You may insert hyperlink(s) to question notes by clicking the icon on the bottom left of the Question level feedback dialog.
You can preview your question by clicking the Preview button in the right down corner. Click OK to save this question. |
