In the Browse pane on the left, find the folder where the photos you want to add are located, and the photos will be shown in thumbnails below this pane:

If you are creating a collage on a blank page or an image, you can just drag each photo to your collage and start editing it.

A layout or a template has multiple frames. If you are creating a collage on a layout or a template, you can double click on each frame to add a photo to it. Or you can just drag a photo into each frame. The program will show a black frame to prompt you to drop the photo at relevant position.
