Adding Registry Entries to a User-defined Custom Wash Item
Caution:
This function is for advanced users only. If you do not have a good understanding of the Windows registry, you should not add registry entries to a user-defined Custom Wash Item.
Adding registry entries to a user-defined Custom Wash Item deletes the registry entry you select. Deleting a registry entry may prevent a program on your computer from working properly.
To add a registry entry to a user-defined Custom Wash Item:
- Select the Add Registry Keys or Values for Washing option.
- Click Next.
- In the Step 1 panel, select the Root Key.
- In the Step 1 panel, select the option you want:
- Delete entire subkeySelect this to delete the entire subkey that you select in the Step 2 panel.
- Delete a subkey valueSelect this and enter a specific subkey value to have Window Washer delete only that value from the subkey that you select in the Step 2 panel.
- In the Step 2 panel, select the registry key or value you want to wash.
- Click Add.
- The key name displays in the Step 3 panel.
- To remove a key from the list of keys to wash, select the key and click Remove.
- To remove all keys from the list of keys to wash, click Remove All.
- Repeat steps 4 through 7 until you have added all of the keys you want to wash using this Custom Wash Item.
- Click Next to continue.
- When the Completion window displays, click Finished.
