Finding Installed Programs to Wash
You can tell Window Washer to find (redetect) programs you have installed since you installed Window Washer. If you want Window Washer to wash these new programs, Window Washer has to know they are installed.
To find installed programs:
- Start Window Washer, if it is not already open, and display the Window Washer window.
- For more information, see Starting Window Washer.
- In the icon panel, click Options.
- Click the Program Settings tab.
- Click Redetect All.
- Window Washer finds all programs that you have installed for which it has a Custom Wash Item. Window Washer also automatically selects any corresponding Webroot Custom Wash Item to include in washes.
- If you have Netscape installed, the Netscape Profile Scanner window displays, letting you select which Netscape profiles you want to wash. For more information, see Selecting Netscape Profiles to Wash.
- If you do not want to wash the newly found programs, deselect the Custom Wash Items.
- For more information, see Selecting Custom Wash Items to Use in a Wash.
