Starting Window Washer
You can start Window Washer a number of ways, depending on the options you selected when you installed it.
Start Window Washer and display the Window Washer window using one of the following methods:
- If Window Washer is open in your system tray (you should see the Window Washer icon
in the lower-right corner of your screen), do one of the following to display the Window Washer main window:
- Double-click the Window Washer icon.
- Right-click the Window Washer icon and select Restore from the pop-up menu.
- Click Minimize
to close the Window Washer window, but keep Window Washer open in your system tray and ready to run scheduled washes.
- If you did not select the Run Window Washer Now option during installation or you closed Window Washer completely, click Start, point to Programs, point to Webroot, point to Window Washer, click Window Washer or double-click the Window Washer icon
on your computer desktop.
- This starts Window Washer and displays the main window.
- Window Washer requires that ClearType technology, which makes text look clearer on your monitor, be active at all times when Window Washer is open. At installation and startup, ClearType is activated and cannot be deactivated while Window Washer is open. When the program starts and turns ClearType on, your screen may briefly flicker.
- If you are using the trial version, a reminder window displays letting you know how many days are left in your trial. To continue using the trial version, click Continue Trial. To buy Window Washer, click Buy It Now. If your trial period has expired, click Buy It Now to buy Window Washer. You must be connected to the Internet for the Buy It Now button to work.
Note:
If you want Window Washer to start automatically when you start Windows and stay open in your system tray, click Options in the icon panel, click the Program Settings tab, and select the Load Window Washer at Windows Startup option. We recommend using this option.
